A police manhunt in Falls Township was triggered by two suspects wanted for retail theft, according to sources.
Officers from around Lower Bucks County rushed to Tyburn Road just off Route 13 in Falls Township after sundown on Thursday to search for the two suspects, who were eventually taken into custody, sources with knowledge of the incident said.

The search led to the arrest of Mercedes C. John, 37, of Trenton, and Jason M. Nemeth, 36, of Southampton in Burlington County, New Jersey.
John and Nemeth allegedly committed retail thefts from the Giant Food Store on Stony Hill Road and the ShopRite on Big Oak Road, both in Lower Makefield.
According to court papers, the duo targeted expensive items, including filet mignon, king crab legs, and shrimp, at the grocery stores on numerous occasions.

On Valentine’s Day evening, John and Nemeth returned to ShopRite and selected steak, crab legs, and lobster before walking out the door without paying for the food, police said.
Giant reported they lost more than $2,000 in food, police said.

John, according to authorities, has three prior retail theft convictions and is on probation for thefts that happened in Bucks County.
The duo were each hit with 39 felony charges, including retail theft, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy. They were arraigned and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $200,000 bail.
