A preliminary investigation by police shows that the man was crossing Route 13 from the southbound side to the northbound side between the Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge and the Motel 6 around 6 a.m. when a 35-year-old Bensalem woman driving a gold Chevrolet Equinox struck him in the northbound lanes, police said, adding the man was using an area without a marked pedestrian crossing.

The woman stopped and is reportedly cooperating with investigators.

Police were assisted on the scene by Bristol Township Fire Police.
