The Acme grocery store near Five Points reopened Tuesday evening after being closed for most of the day.
The store closed in the morning due to a “mechanical failure” and stayed shut into the early evening hours. Customers were turned away by staff at the entryway to the store.

The Acme parking lot was uncharacteristically empty as customers streamed in and then out after learning the Bristol Township store was closed.
“I knew the parking lot was too empty,” one woman said as she headed back to her car.
