Fire crews responded to a Falls Township business for a smoke condition.

Firefighters first received a report of a fire at the CollisionMax on Lincoln Highway around 8:45 a.m. They arrived to find smoke coming from the exhaust system of a paint booth inside the business, Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said.

Power was cut to the paint booth and fire crews looked in the ducts to determine where the smoke was coming from. No fire was found and the issue may have been linked to an equipment malfunction, Dippolito said.

Due to the cold weather, a fire hydrant crews hooked up to near the business was frozen, but thankfully no water was needed, Dippolito said.

The call drew trucks from the Falls Township, Edgely, Levittown No. 1, Levittown No. 2, Penndel, William Penn, and Yardley fire companies.
