Authorities in Bristol Borough are reminding residents of some parking rules.

Police said the borough has received “many complaints about sanitation as well as school vehicles” having trouble maneuvering streets because vehicles were parking too far from the curb.

Authorities warned that parking too far from the curb can cause traffic problems and violators may be subject to a citation.

“We understand that parking can be an obstacle, particularly on busy streets, so we want to share this message in hopes to limit the violations written to our residents for an avoidable situation. If you park your vehicle as to make it impassable to services such as these, the trash for the entire block may not be collected, our students will be late for school or in coming home,” police said in a release.

Police also minded residents not to park along a curb that is painted yellow or too close to an intersection.
