UPDATED: Death Of 22-Month-Old Boy Ruled Homicide

UPDATED: 5:26 p.m., Wednesday: 

A Wednesday autopsy revealed that the death of a 22-month-old boy found dead Tuesday morning in Falls Township was caused by homicide, according to multiple sources.

The boy, sources relayed, was found around 11:05 a.m. after police, medics from the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, and firefighters were called to the J building for a cardiac emergency.

No arrests were made as of Wednesday evening and Falls Township police and detectives were continuing their probe.

James O’Malley, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson, confirmed that the 22-month-old boy’s twin brother died last July. His sudden death was caused by sudden infant death syndrome. according to any autopsy at the time.

Detectives were at the apartment complex Tuesday and Wednesday. Neighbors said they appeared to be collecting evidence.

Inside the large apartment, there were a dozen adults and children residing.

The investigation into the death of a young child remained underway Wednesday.

Bucks County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson James O’Malley said the child was 22-months-old, updating initial information that the child was 2 years old. He added that the investigation was “active and ongoing.”

A LevittownNow.com reader who lives at the Commons of Fallsington said police remained at the J building overnight.

Police vehicles first arrived at the J building Tuesday morning and were later joined by the Bucks County Detective’s large evidence truck.

No charges had been filed in the case as of Wednesday morning.

An autopsy was expected to be completed following the child’s death, but authorities did not comment on whether it had been completed as of Wednesday at noon.
