Overnight Crashes Damage Utility Poles

Two utility poles were damaged in separate overnight crashes.

The first crash happened at the intersection of South Pine Street and Bellevue Avenue in Langhorne Manor around 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Full details were not immediately available, but PECO crews were working to repair a damaged utility pole on Sunday morning.

Around 1:35 a.m. Sunday, a crash happened outside Sparky’s bar in the 4300 block of New Falls Road in Middletown’s Levittown section. An SUV ended up slamming into a utility pole and firefighters were called to the scene. The utility pole was broken and New Falls Road remained closed between Veterans Highway (Route 413) and Plumtree Road.

Further details on the crash were not immediately available.

As of early Sunday afternoon, the road remained closed and fire police were directing traffic. A set of wires hung low over the closed stretch of roadway.
