Striking Vehicle Leaves Scene After Pedestrian Hit, Cops Say

A man was struck by a pick-up truck along East Lincoln Highway Friday evening.

The man was hit along the roadway in the westbound lanes outside the Lincoln Plaza shopping center around 7:35 p.m., according to Middletown police.

The pick-up truck with a Pennsylvania license plate that allegedly left the scene after the crash and was last spotted entering the Oxford Valley Mall area, police said.

The condition on the injured man was not immediately available, but he was rushed to St. Mary Medical Center.

East Lincoln Highway was blocked in the area while officers investigated the crash.
