A commercial building in Bristol Borough was badly damaged when a car struck it.
An older Buick sedan struck the Bristol Environmental Inc. building in the 1100 block of Beaver Street around 11 a.m. Friday.

Police said the driver refused medical treatment at the scene, and no injuries were reported inside the business.
The driver, according to police, explained that his foot accidentally hit the gas pedal while approaching the nearby stop sign. The startled driver’s vehicle jumped the curb and ended up striking the business’ building.
The building sustained heavy damage to the brick and concrete wall along the garage. Firefighters and inspectors were called to the scene to evaluate the damage.
