The crossing guard bumped his head and was suffering from hip and leg pain, police Chief Joseph Bartorilla said.
The crash, the chief said, appeared to be at low speed and the crossing guard was alert as he was transported to the hospital. The crossing guard was on school property and not at a pedestrian crossing when he was hit.
The striking vehicle remained at the scene, the police chief said.
