UPDATED: Charter School Cleared After Bomb Threat

UPDATED: 2:58 p.m.: 

Tullytown police said the Center for Student Learning Charter School was cleared Wednesday afternoon after being searched by three K-9 units.

Following the search, students and staff returned to the school and classes resumed.

A handwritten bomb threat was found by the school staff and reported to police.

Chief of Police Daniel Doyle said the incident remains under investigation.

Students and staff at the Center for Student Learning Charter School were evacuated late Wednesday morning due to a bomb threat.

Tullytown police said the students were cleared from the Lakeside Drive building and relocated after the threat was reported.

The bomb threat came on a morning where national figures like the Clinton family and former President Barack Obama had threatening packages intercepted by the U.S. Secret Service. In New York City, CNN”s studios were evacuated due to a suspicious package.
