A fire caused an explosion at a home in Bristol Township’s Levittown section Thursday morning.
Firefighters were dispatched at 9:42 a.m. to a home in the 10 block of Chestnut Lane after a neighbor reported hearing an explosion and saw smoke coming from the dwelling’s garage.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the neighbor went to the home and woke the two residents who were sleeping.
The fire was contained to the garage and the residence has been left uninhabitable until repairs are made, Dippolito said.
The explosion was caused by aerosol cans that were stored in the garage. The blast caused enough force to buckle the garage door, the fire marshal explained.

An investigation has determined that the fire started in the area of a wall outlet that had a four-way plug adapter plugged in to it, Dippolito said.
No injuries were reported.
