Bristol Township swore in two new police officers last week.
Officers Timothy McDonald and John Dob Jr. joined the 60-officer department at last week’s Bristol Township Council meeting.

Dob, according to officials, will begin training on patrol work while McDonald is currently attending the Temple University Municipal Police Academy and is expected to graduate in March 2019.
A Conshohocken, Montgomery County, native, Dob graduated from Central Montgomery County Technical High School in Plymouth Meeting and attended Montgomery County Community College for one year, focusing on criminal justice studies. He recently graduated from the Montgomery County Community College Municipal Police Academy. Before joining the police department, Dob worked as a sales specialist at a Chevrolet dealership.
McDonald, a Langhorne native, is a Neshaminy High School graduate and he received his bachelor degree in finance and professional golf management from Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina. He has previously worked as an assistant golf pro and a financial advisor.

“I am very pleased to welcome two new police officers to the Bristol Township Police Department, who will be protecting and serving this community for many years to come,” Chief of Police Robert Coulton said.
The two newest officers were picked from 90 candidates and will fill vacancies from attrition in the department.
