Flash flooding hit the area Wednesday afternoon.
As heavy rain rolled through the Levittown area, streets in Penndel Borough filled with water. Bellevue Avenue at the base of Durham Road was filled with several inches of water as evening traveler commuted through, creating a wake.

In nearby Hulmeville Borough, runoff traveled down Bellevue Avenue and streamed toward the Neshaminy Creek.
Accuweather.com reported the area saw between 2 to 3 inches of rain over the past 24 hours.
