
A couple that commits crimes together goes to prison together.
Tara Shiplee, 40, andย Christopher Hannah, 47, both of Levittown, were sentenced to state prison for their role in Bensalem burglary that happened the day after Christmas last year.

Shiplee, Hannah, and another man ransacked the apartment of the 40-year-old woman’s former roommate. Shiplee admitted to forcing her way into the Bensalem apartment and pointing a silver handgun, which later turned out to be a BB gun, in the victim’s face, threatening to shoot her if she did not cooperate. Shiplee yanked her former roommate by the hair and pistol-whipped her as she tried to run away.
The three burglars stole a number of gift cards, a large flat-screen TV, an iPhone 6, a Firestick TV streaming device and prescription slips for Xanax and Adderall, valued at an estimated $1,400. On their way out, the victim told police, Shiplee looked her in the eye and threatened to kill her if she called police.
โIโm guessing this was something that scared this lady quite a bit,โ Bucks County Judge Wallace Bateman told Shiplee in court Tuesday.

Shiplee was sentenced as part of a negotiated guilty plea to 27 months to five years in state prison forย aggravated assault, burglary, conspiracy, theft, terroristic threats, and possessing an instrument of crime.
Her boyfriend, Hannah, was sentenced toย 11.5 to 23 months in the Bucks County Correctional Facility for the burglary. He also received a concurrent six to 23 months behind bars for twice burglarizing Penn Life Sciences in Falls Township with another man.

Shiplee and Hannah have aย 6-year-old daughter together.
Shiplee and Hannah also were placed on seven years of concurrent probation each, and were ordered to have no contact with the victims.
