Four New Officers Join Bristol Twp. Police Department

The Bristol Township Police Department has four new patrol officers.

At last Thursday evening’s Bristol Township Council meeting, the new officers – Michael Grebloski, Nicholas Tschepikiewski, Christopher Grow, and James Moratti – were sworn in by District Judge Robert Wagner before their family and community members.

Grow and Tschepikiewski will begin work with the patrol division right away. Grebloski will start Temple University’s police academy and is expected to graduate in mid-March 2018 while Moratti will graduate from the Philadelphia Police Academy in mid-December, officials said.

Police released the following information on the new officers:

• Officer Grebloski was born and raised in Philadelphia and is a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in Philadelphia. Grebloski enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and reported to the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May, New Jersey for basic training. He assumed the roles of Hazmat Response, Search & Rescue, and Drug Interdiction in South Carolina, Maine, Arkansas, and New Jersey. Grebloski most recently served with the U.S. Coast Guard Atlantic Strike Team in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

• Officer Tschepikiewski was born and raised in Abington and Horsham in Montgomery County. Tschepikiewski enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and reported to Parris Island, South Carolina for Boot Camp Training. After completing Infantry Training at Camp Geiger in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Tschepikiewski served as a Lance Corporal at Camp Lujeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina until he was honorably discharged. Most recently, Tschepikiewski served as the class lieutenant at the Montgomery County Police Academy for his police academy training. Tschepikiewski also has experience as a heavy equipment operator, doing site development and excavation.

• Officer Grow was born and raised in Levittown. He graduated from Bucks County Technical High School in June 2006. Grow served as a full-time firefighter in Bensalem and Montgomery County, Maryland. Most recently, Grow attended the Philadelphia Police Academy and served and as a Philadelphia police officer. Grow also serves as a volunteer firefighter for Levittown Fire Company No. 2.

• Officer Moratti was born and raised in Levittown. He graduated from Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in 2011. He attended Holy Family University in Philadelphia, earning his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2015. Most recently, Moratti was hired to be a Philadelphia police officer and is currently attending the Philadelphia Police Academy. Moratti also has experience in the construction trade.

“I am very pleased to welcome four new police officers to the Bristol Township Police Department, who will be protecting and serving this community for many years to come.” police Chief Robert Coulton said.

Bristol Township officials said the four new officers will fill positions left vacant through attrition.

With the additions, the department will have 60 officers.

Also at the meeting, Detective Robert Lebo retired after a 30-year career in the police department. Lt. Ralph Johnson said Lebo served in various positions ranging from K-9 officer to setting up the police department’s computer network.

Lebo’s will retire from Bristol Township this month and then move to a new job maintaining police communications equipment with the county.
