A search warrant executed at a home in Bristol Borough turned up suspected drugs.
Bensalem police and Bucks County Detectives executed the search warrant at a home in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue last Thursday. The search warrant was approved by a county judge as part of an ongoing investigation into meth purchasing and sales.

Police said they found a black backpack in the home and located a large sealable bag that contained suspected meth. There was also a large sealed bag that also contained meth, a small jar containing suspected marijuana, and a small bag containing suspected heroin with fentanyl.
A digital scale and a spoon, both with suspected drug residue, were also found, police said.
A cell phone belonging to Bristol resident Bryan Goodbred, who turned 35 last week, was recovered, police said.

During an interview with detectives, Goodbred advised the backpack and the contents inside belonged to him. He also stated he had purchased the suspected meth for resale, according to court papers.
In their affidavit of probable cause, detectives wrote that a field test showed items taken from the house as positive for meth.
Police said they transported the items retrieved during the search warrant to a lab for testing.

Goodbred was arraigned before District Judge Frank Peranteau on charges of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; possession of controlled substances; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed on 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
