A tip about possible drug activity at a Bristol Township home led police to make an arrest last week.
Investigators received a tip late last month that methamphetamines was being sold from a home on Holly Drive in the township’s Levittown section. The tipster said they also spotted the resident – Richard C. Fedder, 45 – with a silver handgun, which presented a problem because he has prior felony convictions for burglary and aggravated assault, according to court papers.

The Bristol Township Police Department Narcotics Unit began an investigation using a cooperating individual during the week of July 23.
Police said they used the cooperating individual twice to buy suspected meth from Fedder at his home on Holly Drive. In both cases, Fedder left the home before returning with the suspected meth. Fedder allegedly weighed the amount of meth and bagged it up for the cooperating individual both times.
Investigators executed a search warrant of Fedder’s home last Tuesday and recovered sealable bags similar to the ones used to package the meth the cooperating individual reportedly purchased.

During the course of the probe, police learned that Fedder transported a small safe to a relative’s home in the Indian Creek neighborhood. The family member said Fedder told them there was a handgun in the safe, court papers stated.
Police said in paperwork that they had not yet opened the safe as of last week but suspected a firearm was inside it.

Fedder was arraigned Friday afternoon on drug-related offenses, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of endangering the welfare of children. He was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility at 10 percent of $500,000 bail.
