Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Deputy Chief Ryan Flanagan said the 19-year-old man was attempting to open a cable case and it was energized for an unknown reason.
The contractor suffered minor burns to his hand and arm. He was taken by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad to Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Falls Township for evaluation.
Although PECO was called to the scene as a precaution, the contractor did not come in contact with their lines and their equipment did not appear to be directly involved, Flanagan said.
