A 37-year-old Middletown man has been accused of breaking into his parent’s home, causing his mother and her granddaughter to flee, police said.
On Tuesday, a resident on Tanglewood Lane in Falls Township’s Levittown section reported to 9-1-1 that Jason Charles Dubs had entered her home while appearing to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The woman and her granddaughter left the home and called her husband, who was the one who dialed police, according to court papers.

Officers arrived around 3:15 p.m. and spotted Dubs inside his parent’s home at the kitchen table. He “appeared as if he was falling asleep while he was sitting there,” police said.
Two patrolmen made contact with Dubs and noted his pupils were constricted and he was taking long pauses while speaking, police said.
Dubs father spoke with investigators and showed them three window screens that were removed and one that was bent. He also showed them an air conditioner that was pushed in the home.

Police said Dubs father said he suspected Dubs pushed the air conditioner inward to gain access to the home, police said.
“I have a key,” Dubs reportedly told police. “What does it matter if I went in through the window?”

Dubs’ parents said he did not live at their home.
Officers took Dubs into custody and found an orange capped syringe and two torn wax baggies, police said.
A second syringe that was uncapped and had bloody fluid inside was found on the floor where Dubs was sitting, police said.

In a written statement to police, Dubs mother said she found her son in the house passed out at the kitchen table and began yelling for him to leave before she called her husband.
