Police Log: Drugs Found In Bathroom, Man Strikes Roommate & More

Drug Arrest

A 19-year-old woman was pulled over while driving a Saturn traveling on West Lincoln Highway with an expired registration. Officers made contact with the female operator and sole occupant of the vehicle and immediately smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. Suspected marijuana and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.

June 17

Assault

Officers were called to an apartment on West Lincoln Highway for an assault. Upon arrival, the victim stated his 38-year-old male roommate had struck him multiple times in the head for apparently no reason. The victim did have a cut over his left eye and was bleeding. The man was arrested for assault and harassing his roommate.

DUI

A 46-year-old man was stopped atย Bellevue Avenue and Lincoln Highway after failing to making numerous motor vehicle violations. Officers pulled the vehicle over and spoke with the driver.ย While speaking with the driver,ย he was speaking with a very slurred speech and had an odor of alcoholic beverages coming from his breath. He was unable to complete field sobriety testing and was arrested for suspected DUI.

Drug Arrest

A 34-year-old Philadelphia man was pulled over for having a suspended registration for insurance cancellation.ย While speaking with the man about the traffic stop, officers could immediately smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. He initially denied any marijuana being in the vehicle, but later did reveal that there was marijuana in the glove box.

June 24

DUI

A 24-year-old man was arrested for DUI following a traffic crash atย Centre Street and Woodland Avenue.ย In speaking with the man, officers noted his eyes to be red and glassy and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. Kelley agreed to perform field sobriety testing, which he was unable to complete.

June 25

Found Drugs

A resident on Centre Street called police toย report that a baggie of suspected drugs had been found outside of the residence. Upon arrival, officers were given a clear sandwich bag filled around a quarter of the way with a green leafy substance that is consistent with marijuana.

June 26

Warrant Arrest

A 31-year-old man was stopped while in a brown Jeep driving south on Durham Road. He was found to have a warrant out of Philadelphia. He was arrested and transported to the custody of Philadelphia authorities.

June 28

Drug Arrest

A 22-year-old man was found with a bag of suspected marijuana following a crash in the area of the Penndel Recreation Fields. Officers found a vehicle on Hulmeville Avenue with heavy front end damage and a vehicle parked on the side of the road with heavy rear end damage.While speaking withย the man, officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from his person.ย The man agreed to a search of his person and a bag of suspected marijuana was found on his person.

Found Drugs

A clearย  baggie containing suspected heroin and multiple needles were found on the sink in the bathroom of the Subway on Bellevue Avenue.
