A mosquito control operation will take place this week in Penndel and Middletown.
Bucks County will spray the Taddie Woods area of Penndel, including Oak, Holly, and Manor avenues. In Middletown, Washington, Lincoln, Adams and Parkview avenues will be sprayed.

The officials said the spray operation is planned for Thursday starting at dusk. A backup date has been set for Friday.
“The treatments will be administered via truck-mounted equipment, and ATV mounted equipment. The equipment dispenses Duet, a Dual-Action Adulticide at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre. The product is designed to provide quick, effective control of adult mosquito populations. The application material has a very low toxicity profile to mammals and will have negligible impact on non-target insects and the environment,” county officials said.
The spray will take place to curb the spread of mosquitoes that can carry West Nile Virus.
