Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the roof and began efforts to put out the smoldering community center that sits in the Bloomsdale-Fleetwing neighborhood, Edgely Fire Company Deputy Chief Brian Cirard said.
Within about 20 minutes, the fire was completely out and the fire marshal’s investigation had begun.
Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the fire has been ruled an arson.
