Parents of students at Harry S. Truman High School in Bristol Township received an email Wednesday on an investigation into a school shooting social media post.

The concern, which stemmed from an anonymous Instagram post, was sent over to Bristol Township police. In addition, school police were posted at the front door of the high school, according to a note send to parents.

“We will pursue legal and school consequences if the police are able to identify the person(s) responsible for the message,” Principal Lyndell Davis said.

School police and hall monitors checked all the exterior doors at the school.

Davis urged parents to talk to their children about appropriate social media usage.
