American Idol Judges Love ‘Quirky & Crazy’ Catie Turner’s Performance Of ‘Call Me’

Catie Turner’s Top 24 solo performance on Sunday’s episode of “American Idol” wowed the judges.

Turner, an 18-year-old Middletown resident and Neshaminy High School senior, belted out Blondie’s 1980 hit “Call Me” on the episode.

“I’ll tell you what,” celebrity judge Luke Bryan said. “I couldn’t quit watching you.”

“You’re quirky and crazy, Catie, and we love you. Your voice is always there. Your voice never lets us down,” the country superstar added.

Pop star Katy Perry praised Turner’s performance and her hair flip during the song.

“I just love your whole package … never change,” Perry said.

“You were something special when we first saw you. And now you have taken your style and made us believers in your style. No, no, no – seriously,” Lionel Richie told the Middletown resident.

Turner said she picked “Call Me” after her dad suggested it.

On Monday’s edition of the “American Idol,” Turner is set to perform a duet with singer-songwriter Andy Grammer.
