A house fire was stopped before it spread and was able to do widespread damage.
Firefighters responded to a house fire on Windham Drive in Middletown’s Langhorne section Wednesday evening.

Alan Welsh from the Middletown Fire Marshal’s office explained that the fire began as a result of a cooking error by the homeowner.
There were three people home at the time of the fire, but there were no injuries, Welsh said.
The kitchen sustained a moderate amount of smoke damage, and the family will be displaced while the kitchen is restored, Welsh said.
