Short Closure After Cover Blows In Wind Over Burlington-Bristol Bridge

A deck cover that is part of prep work for a repainting project on the Burlington-Bristol Bridge caused the closure of the span.

Liz Verna, the spokesperson for the Burlington County Bridge Commission, said the cover came loose during Friday afternoon’s winds.

The closure lasted less than an hour and was precautionary, Verna said.

There was no damage to the bridge or any vehicles.
