Police charged a Bensalem man last Thursday with delivering nearly 40 bags of heroin.
Akie Taylor, 30, was charged on Thursday after a police investigation caught him selling heroin on two separate occasions, according to authorities.

The alleged sales came within a week of each other, according to police paperwork. The first sale, police said, occurred on January 10 when delivered 19 bags of “NBA” stamped heroine for $80 to the Wawa parking lot at 5900 Route 13 in Bristol Township. On January 16, Taylor allegedly delivered 20 bags stamped “Reebok” for $80 to the Franklin Commons Apartment Complex in Bensalem Township.
Police said Taylor used a cell phone to arrange the calls with the informant and drove a car to the sales, although his license was suspended.
The drug investigation was led by the Lower Makefield Police Department.

Taylor was charged with felonies, including two charges of delivery, two charges of dealing in the proceeds from unlawful activities, two charges of criminal usage of a communication facility and misdemeanors including possession of a controlled substance and usage of drug paraphernalia. Taylor also had two summary offenses of driving without a license.
Taylor’s bail was set at 10 percent of $850,000.

The 30-year-old man also faces a drug case out of New Jersey.
