The Levittown-area celebrated the Philadelphia Eagles NFC Championship win Sunday night.

From Five Points to an area sports merchandise store, fans were celebrating the big win against the Minnesota Vikings. “E-A-G-L-E-S” chants were not uncommon as the team earned their spot against the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl early next month.

Horns honked, fans cheered and cell phone cameras flashed at the infamous Five Points intersection on the border of Bristol Township and Middletown following the Eagles big win. Between 100 and 150 people crowded all corners of the intersection and a chant of “Foles, Foles, Foles” echoed from groups of fans.

Numerous police officers were at the intersection and the crowd stayed mainly under control. However, officers did take one person aside.

The Rally House Oxford Valley store in Falls Township opened shortly after the game ended and had various types of NFC Championship gear up for sale. The sports merchandise store said their seven retail locations in the Philadelphia market opened after the Eagles win.
