A woman from Middletown’s Levittown section was charged recently after stealing a check.
Lower Southampton police said Christina L. Sottnick, 42, was arraigned last week on charges of forgery, receiving stolen property, and theft by deception.

On December 9, police began investigating after a Lower Southampton resident reported a check was endorsed and cashed without authorization.
The investigation found that Sottnick, a cleaning person, had taken and cashed the check for $300.
Sottnick turned herself over to police and was released following arraignment on $1,500 unsecured bail.
