SUV, School Bus Collide In Head-On Crash

A head-on crash badly damaged a vehicle and a Neshaminy School District bus Monday morning.

The district school bus and a Ford Explorer collided head-on on Durham Road in the area of the I-95 overpass in Middletown shortly before 7:30 a.m.

Police said the 53-year-old man driving the Ford suffered chest pains and numbness of his leg. The bus driver and four students avoided serious injury, but one student was treated for a bloody nose.

The SUV driver told officers his vehicle lost control after hitting snow or ice and slammed into the bus, causing significant damage to both vehicles, police said.

The students were transferred to another bus following the crash.
