The owner of the Mercedes does not live locally, police said.
Investigators will examine the Mercedes over the next few days to see if it was connected to the fatal hit-and-run crash.

Police plan to work through the Christmas weekend to track down the driver who struck and killed a bicyclist in Bristol Borough Tuesday evening.
Investigators have been working “continuously” to catch the motorist who struck 52-year-old Bristol resident Kevin Williams Sr. as he crossed Route 13 near Corson Street Tuesday around 7:55 p.m., borough police Chief Steve Henry said Friday night.
Witnesses have indicated a silver 2007 to 2008 Mercedes Benz AMG struck Williams in the roadway. The Mercedes was possibly racing another vehicle. Initially the car was said to be a dark-colored Mitsubishi Lancer, but Henry said Friday that the vehicle was now said to be a dark-colored Honda Civic SI by witnesses.

The striking Mercedes is suspected by police to have lost a front decorative license plate with an Eagle emblem that was found at the scene. It also is suspected of having front-end damage.

Henry said police have been running down leads that have been reported. They traveled to a scrap yard in Camden where they found a Mercedes that was about to be crushed. However, the car was determined not to be the striking vehicle.
“We have been able to narrow our focus based in some physical evidence recovered,” the chief told LevittownNow.com.
A Philadelphia police helicopter was brought in earlier this week to search for the striking vehicle in area. Despite the air search, the vehicle was not located.
