A dangerous race down northbound Route 13 Tuesday evening may have led to the death of a Bristol Borough man who was riding his bicycle.

Police identified the victim as 52-year-old Kevin Williams Sr., a resident of the borough. He was riding his bicycle across Route 13 near Corson Street around 7:55 p.m. when he was struck by what witnesses described as a silver 2007 to 2008 Mercedes Benz AMG. The Mercedes likely has front-end damage.

Witnesses said the Mercedes may have been racing a dark-colored Mitsubishi Lancer at the time Williams was hit.

A front decorative license plate with an Eagle emblem was found at the scene of the crash and is believed to have belonged to the Mercedes, police said.

The decorative plate left at the scene.
