A Maryland woman was charged recently after police monitored several alleged sales of controlled substances.
Irene Ayrer, 47, was arraigned on November 22 and waived to case to county court after an investigation by Falls Township police and Bucks County Detectives in July and August 2017. She will face trial on a drug charge and criminal use of a communication facility.

During the initial investigation, police used a confidential informant to set up a transaction with Ayrer. The informant called Ayrer and set up a sale of methamphetamine valued at $100, according to court papers.
In July, the informant met the defendant on North Flowers Mill Road in Middletown where the sale occurred and the informant turned over the drugs to police, police said.
In August a similar sale occurred again, this time on New Falls Road in Levittown, police said.

After both transactions, the apparent drugs were analyzed at a crime lab, where they were confirmed to be methamphetamine, investigators noted in court papers.
Ayrer, according to court records, scheduled for a spring trial in an unrelated case involving the theft of leased property in Falls.

The 47-year-old woman is free on unsecured bail.
