Neshaminy Select Choir Wins Radio Station’s Christmas Competition

The Neshaminy High School Select Choir was among the top winners in this year’s 101.1 More FM Christmas Choir Competition.

The high schoolers who performed “Text Me Merry Christmas” came out ahead of other regional high schools, including nearby Council Rock South High School.

The Neshaminy choir will have the chance to perform this week with the Philly Pops at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia and will receive a $5,000 prize.

The winning announcement broadcast was played throughout Neshaminy High School and met with cheers from the choir.

The choir is led by teacher Kristin Nichols.

“Text Me Merry Christmas” was released in 2013 by a capella group Straight No Chaser featuring Kristen Bell.
