It’s not even winter yet and a measurable snow event is expected to hit the Levittown area starting early Saturday.

The National Weather Service is predicting 3 to 4 inches of snow will hit the area, with the first flakes beginning in the pre-dawn hours and continuing through Saturday afternoon. In advance of the storm, a Winter Weather Advisory was issued for Bucks County.

“Confidence is high for the area’s first snowfall,” meteorologists at the National Weather Service said in a Friday morning briefing.

The storm is expected to bring a slushy snow that will mainly accumulate on untreated surfaces and grassy areas, according to forecasters.

The most accumulation is expected in South Jersey.
