A 56-year-old Levittown man was found dead after his pickup truck crashed into a swampy body of water.
Falls Township police confirmed the man was found dead after the upside down green-gray, two-door Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was pulled from the water Wednesday at the corner of Bordentown and New Ford Mill roads near the landfill. The coroner’s office removed the man’s body from the pickup.

The working theory by police has been that the man’s pickup crashed into the swampy area late Tuesday or early Wednesday morning. It was not yet know why the vehicle left the roadway.
Officers were called to the swampy area at 7:25 a.m. They arrived to find the pickup flipped in the water and broke out a window. Inside, officers found the body of the deceased man, police said.
Authorities are withholding release of the man’s name until his family has been notified.
