A Falls Township resident helped police track down the man believed to have stolen his personal property from his home.
Rashaad Dawkins, 24, of Burlington, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with burglary, possession, theft, and receiving stolen property.

Last Tuesday shortly after 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Sweetbriar Road in the Morrisville section of Falls for the report of a burglary not in progress.
Once at the scene, police spoke with the resident who said he had left about three hours before and came home to find his apartment ransacked. The resident noted numerous items were out of place and that his flat screen, two laptop computers, iPad pro, and iPhone were missing. Court documents state that forced entry had been gained through a first floor bedroom window.
According to a probable cause affidavit, police processed several areas of the apartment for touch DNA before the resident advised them that he was able to track some of his missing electronics through a GPS application installed on the devices.

The following day, at approximately 10:30 a.m., police were contacted by the victim who told officers that the devices had been turned on and that he was currently tracking their location.
Court records show that the iPad and iPhone appeared to be together and stationary in the area of East Trenton Avenue and Crown Street in Morrisville Borough.

When police responded to the area they observed a black male and black female enter a white Dodge minivan and leave the area. It was then that police were advised that the victim’s devices had become mobile and then were stopped again on West Trenton Avenue. When police responded to that scene they were met with the same van and occupants as before, according to court documents.
When police approached the vehicle they identified the driver as Dawkins. When Dawkins was asked if he had anything inside that did not belong to him, Dawkins reached down the center console area, giving police an iPad and iPhone belonging to the victim.
When Dawkins was taken into custody, officers observed a clear plastic bag containing suspected crushed up Percocet sticking out of his waistband, court records show.

Dawkins was arraigned and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $400,000 bail.
