The developers behind the long-running Mill Run construction presented to the Bristol Borough Council Monday evening.

The project, which has been under construction for some time, is slated to initially open in September 2018, explained Michael Hollister, the attorney for the developers of the project.

Healthcare Stat Homecare is working to turn the long-vacant building into aย  mixed-use assisted care facility with other medical offices.

As the building stands, all of the new windows have been installed, save for one window being used to bring project materials in. By the end of November, the stone facade, which will wrap around the building, will begin construction, Hollister said.

The biggest change to the building will be a three story addition. That construction will begin in April 2018. The shell is scheduled to be finished by the opening of the facility, with floors being added to use as they are completed.

“I appreciate you guys coming in and making this investment in town,” said council president Ralph DiGuiseppe II.

Before the current developers came forward in 2015, the building sat empty for a number of years after being a nursing home for a number of years.

The Mill Run project plan received approval from the Bristol Borough planning commission last week. The Council is expected to vote on the plan at their regular session meeting on Monday, November 13.

Borough and county officials voted in 2015ย to give the site Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance in homes it would spur the local economy.
