Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry said crews had to force entry through the gate and found smoke coming from an air handler in the store.
While the mall was closed to the public at the time, about 25 employees from various stores were evacuated until the scene was cleared, Farry said.
The incident left no damage and no injuries.
