A man told police he was arguing with his roommate, Samantha Anne Lawrence, 27, and ended up going to his bedroom. Lawrence allegedly kicked in his door and began to throw bleach on him and his property.

The man said he followed Lawrence after she threw bleach on him. Once in the kitchen, Lawrence had a knife in her hand and struck a chandelier that was hanging between herself and her roommate, breaking the fixture and knife, according to court papers.

Lawrence’s roommate ended up hiding in a closet, police said.

Officer John Beck wrote in court papers that he saw bleach stains in the bedroom and on the man. He also found a broken purple knife handle lying near an area of shattered glass from the chandelier. The blade of the knife was discovered in a trashcan.

Lawrence was arraigned Tuesday afternoon before District Judge Daniel Baranoski on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. She was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $25,000 bail.
