A 16-year-old boy from Northampton has been accused of being intoxicated at the time of a recent crash in Middletown.
Police said they responded to the 1900 block of West Maple Avenue at 2:07 a.m. last Saturday after a report of a wreck near the intersection with Periwinkle Avenue was called in to 9-1-1. Upon arrival, an officer found a black Ford Mustang crashed into the garage portion of a residence.

The responding officer spoke with the 16-year-old boy and he admitted to drinking with friends before crashing, police said, adding he had signs of possible intoxication.
It appeared that the Mustang drove off the road, struck the guard rail on Periwinkle Avenue and then swerved into the garage.
The 16-year-old boy was transported to St. Mary Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries and his parents were contacted.
