
A crash in Croydon on Sunday night left one pedestrian dead and a property along Newportville Road damaged.

Police repsonded at about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday to the area of the 200 block of Newportville Road in Croydon to investigate a traffic crash.
According to information released by police, a 1996 Buick Park Avenue was heading north on Newportville Road when it went off road and hit a woman before crashing into a retaining wall outside home. The woman was killed by the crash while the car and home were damaged. The driver, a 27-year-old male from Levittown, was not injured and cooperated with investigators.
The Bristol Township Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Bucks County Rescue Squad, the Croydon Fire Company, the Newportville Fire Company and the Bristol Township Fire Police.

The accident is the second accident in as many weeks in the township where the individual struck by the car sustained fatal injuries. Last week, a man on a bicycle from Philadelphia was killed after getting hit by a car near the Burlington-Bristol Bridge, on Route 413.
The name of Sunday night’s victim has not been publicly released.
