Several properties and homes were damaged in Levittown Monday evening as a line of strong storms moved through the area.
Large trees and limbs fell onto homes and roadways in the Thornridge and Birch Valley neighborhoods in Falls Township. A similar situation was reported in Bristol Township’s Orangewood and Fairless Hills sections.

No serious injuries were reported.
Blue Spruce Lane resident Jillian Millman said she was driving down from the top of her street when the rain started. She pulled up to her home to find a large tree resting on it.
“My two kids were inside and didn’t hear anything,” she said with a chuckle.

Millman said the damage didn’t appear severe, but a bedroom did have a crack in the wall. In addition, her front awning suffered damage from the large tree.

Paul Williamson, a volunteer firefighter, said he was at work when he received the phone call that a tree had landed on his home. While the tree didn’t break through the roof, his Birch Valley home did suffer damage.

“Just weird to be on this side of it normally we are the ones getting called out,” he said, adding he was thankful no one was hurt.
Crews were trimming up a large tree that fell on a home less than a mile away on Tall Pine Lane in Thornridge.
A man walking along Birch Drive said heard several limbs snapping while eating dinner. His yard didn’t suffer any felled limbs but he figured he would survey the neighborhood on foot.

“Doesn’t this sound like an orchestra performance?” he joked while noting the sound of the chainsaws.
Smaller limbs were spotted on the ground throughout Bristol Township and Falls’ Levittown section. The damage seemed to be centered in the neighborhoods off Levittown Parkway and Penn Valley Road.
