The Falls Township Que for the Troops ย has been going on annually since 2010, and in that time it has helped to raise thousandsย for Liberty USO.
In recent years, the blockbuster barbecue competition has been combined with the long running Falls Township Family Fun Day. The big day brings hundreds of families to the community park.

This year, rain threatened Saturday morning before the eventful, but cleared up by mid-morning. For the rest of the day, sunny weather abounded around the popular event.
Instead of having the events on different days and spending money on entertainment for both days, the special events were simply combined, Falls Supervisor Jeff Dence explained.
Families who come out each year were present at the family fun day side as well.

“It’s pretty great and it is fun for the kids,” said Kelly Taylor, who was with her two kids in line for a balloon animal.
Kyle Stahler was waiting for his kids in one of the seven bouncy castles when he explained how nice the weather was and how the day was simply great overall for the event.

According to Dence, one of the main organizers for the event, the barbecue competition has raised $65,000 for Liberty USO so far and hopes to add $15,000 to that total with this year’s event.
More than 70 teams from as far as Ohio came to participate in the competition, Dence said. By the competition’s 10th year, Dence said he hopes for the competition to raise $100,000.
