PennDOT officials are warning those who cross the Neshaminy Creek on the New Falls Road bridge to allow a few extra minutes Thursday.

PennDOT will be inspecting the New Falls Road bridge that connects Bristol Township to Bensalem Thursday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The work will close the right lanes of the bridge and is dependent on the weather.

The lane closures will take place between Bensalem Boulevard and Newportville Road.

Drivers are asked by PennDOT officials to allow a few extra minutes to travel time Thursday.

“The inspections are part of PennDOTโ€™s program to inspect bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures,” a statement said.
