
A home was heavily damaged by a fire in Falls Township Sunday morning.
Firefighters rushed to the 80 block of Falls-Tullytown Road around 9:30 a.m. for the reported blaze. Levittown Fire Company No. 1 Chief Rich VanSchaick said crews arrived find heavy smoke and fire coming from the front of the home.

The volunteers went to work and were able to bring down the flames, the chief told LevittownNow.com.
The residents were home at the time of the fire and escaped, VanSchaick said.
“Everyone got out thankfully and none of the firefighters were injured,” VanSchaick said.

Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said the fire appears to have started in the area of the dining room. He added the cause remains under investigation.
Crews from the Falls Township, Fairless Hills, Morrisville and Tullytown fire companies assisted at the scene.
