A fire that damaged a home in Falls Township left no humans with injuries but took the lives of at least two cats.
The blaze in the 100 block of Martha Drive in the Fallsington section of the township was reported around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said the residents of the home noticed the fire and evacuated the home without being injured. He added that at least two of the family’s pet cats were killed.
The fire was centered around a bedroom and may have possibly started with electrical equipment near a fish tank, Dippolito said.
Responding firefighters from several companies quickly knocked down flames upon arriving at the scene.

Damage to the home was mainly smoke, heat and water, Dippolito said.
