The Sunday morning walk and surrounding activities at Bucks County Technical High School in Bristol Township were sponsored the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force.

Students from Bensalem, Bristol Township, Centennial, Morrisville, Neshaminy, Palisades, Pennridge and Pennsbury school districts participated along with students from Conwell-Egan Catholic High School and Bucks County Technical High School.

“This is an amazing turnout,” Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia said.” We have done it again!”

Dawn Seader, who helped organize the walk, said this year’s proceeds will all be used locally to help fund suicide prevention efforts. The walk raised about $50,000, outpacing last year’s $42,000.

Seader said about 750 people, about 100 more than last year, took part in this year’s walk.
