The developers have applied for a permit to renovate the insides of the building. Once all of the permits have been acquired, the firm will move full steam ahead to finish the project.

“Mill Run has been something that we have all worked on for as long as we can really think and all of us would like it to be done tomorrow, said Bob White of the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority.

“I know there were a lot of discussions in town saying that this would never ever happen,” Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe II said. He commented to Greg Pezza and Lorraine Cullen’s hard work is finally coming to fruition.

If all goes according to plan, Mill Run will be open by December 2018, the developersย said.

After years of being vacant, the large building was sold to Dallas Properties LLC and Healthcare Stat Homecare in 2015.

The five-story, 77,000-square-foot former medical facility on Wilson Avenue is to be redeveloped into a mixed-use assisted care facility with other medical offices.

Borough and county officials voted in 2015 to give the site Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance in homes it would spur the local economy.
